Complete your training with the AirlineReady® APS MCC
The Airline Pilot Standards MCC course was introduced by EASA in 2018 to revolutionise multi-crew training and better prepare newly qualified pilots for airline assessment and type rating training.
VA’s AirlineReady® APS MCC was the first APS course to be awarded regulatory approval, and since then we have trained over 150 pilots to EASA’s new Airline Pilot Standards - more than any other ATO in Europe.
Each week, a new group of trainee pilots arrive at our Cambridge Airport Training Centre, from all across Europe, ready to begin the transition into competent airline pilots.
This is a challenging course which requires a high level of commitment and dedication. It’s suitable for pilots who have a strong desire to develop their skills to the maximum, along with the motivation and self-discipline to put in the necessary work to achieve that.

Why do pilots choose Europe’s leading APS MCC provider?
The right environment to maximise your performance
We want you to get the most out of your training with us. Throughout your course, you’ll have access to all of the study facilities and equipment we have for trainees at our Cambridge Airport Training Centre, including FMC trainers and full-size flight deck mock-ups.
You will have private space to study with your fellow trainees, along with refreshments and super-fast WiFi.
The highest standards of instruction
Our training management and team of more than thirty MCC instructors are dedicated to helping trainees like you to successfully achieve the challenging transition into being competent airline pilots.
Many of our instructors are qualified to TRI/TRE level, and most of our instructor team are still in active airline flying roles, with airlines such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, easyJet and Ryanair.
A proven track record of graduate success
The APS MCC was designed to train new pilots to a much higher standard - to ‘Airline Pilot Standards’ - resulting in them being better prepared to succeed at airline assessment and type rating training.
VA’s APS MCC graduates are achieving an impressive pass rate of over 80% at their first airline assessment, which compares favourably with the industry average pass rate of 45% to 50% for pilots who have completed an older MCC or MCC/JOC course.
In the past year, VA graduates have been recruited by many different airlines, including: Ryanair, British Airways, Iberia, easyJet, Flybe, Jet2, Thomas Cook, TUI, Loganair, DHL, Air Baltic, Wizz Air and Aer Lingus.
Train on the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. It’s your choice.
VA is the only ATO in Europe offering a choice of aircraft types for APS MCC. When booking your course, you can choose to train on the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. We have invested in new, latest-generation flight simulators to deliver the most immersive training experience possible.
