Airline Cadet Programmes
We are pioneering in our field and embrace the latest regulatory standards in all our airline cadet programmes. Our clear focus is on multi-pilot training and we work with our airline partners to create bespoke solutions.
Airline cadet programmes incorporate tailored screening, assessment and selection followed by any combination of APS MCC, UPRT and Type Rating training.
Type Rating Training
We will work with your training team to create a bespoke airline solution and embed your airline SOPs to deliver an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 type rating programme which is tailored to your operational needs.
We are forward-thinking in our approach to pilot training and we will ensure that our programmes reflect this attitude. Your Type Rating training will be delivered utilising the latest simulator technology, by knowledgeable and experienced instructors.
APS MCC
The ‘Airline Pilot Standards’ MCC course was introduced by EASA to revolutionise multi-crew training and better prepare newly-qualified pilots for airline assessment and type rating training. VA’s AirlineReady® APS MCC was the first to be awarded regulatory approval, and we have since trained more pilots to this new Airline Pilot Standard than any other ATO in Europe.
Airlines report that APS MCC graduates are amongst the best-prepared for type rating training; transitioning into line operations seamlessly. APS MCC is increasingly becoming the airline preparation course of choice for forward-thinking and safety conscious airlines.
Advanced UPRT
Delivered in conjunction with our local training partner, British Aerobatic Academy, the new Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training can be included with APS MCC or Type Rating training, or seamlessly incorporated into an airline cadet programme.
Simulator Hire
VA’s latest-generation Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 type-specific FTD1 flight simulators are available on a flexible basis, for ‘dry hire’ with your own instructors, or alternatively ‘wet hire’ with VA instructors if required. Our highly reliable, latest-model MPS simulators are available 20 hours per day throughout the year.
Uses include: pilot recruitment assessments, type rating training, operator conversion, command upgrade, refresher training, UPRT, maintenance training, Cat C airport familiarisation, and crew ‘controlled’ training.
Graduate Placement
When you’re recruiting newly qualified pilots, we’d like to introduce and facilitate our graduates to join your airline.
VA modular graduates are some of the most talented in the industry. They have worked hard to achieve their qualifications; self-funded their training and demonstrated true resilience and determination to do well in their chosen profession.
They have not taken an easy option having chosen to invest in completing MCC training to the most challenging Airline Pilot Standards (APS) training available; with a strong focus on core competencies, airline procedures and type-rating readiness.
We set our bar high and expect our trainees to exceed airline placement standards before we invite them into our Graduate Placement Pool. Our graduates come from a truly diverse range of backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: they have impressed us, and we support them to prepare for and secure that all important first airline role.
