Guidance on Brexit
Both the UK CAA and EASA have provided guidance to Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) on potential options regarding Brexit.
Published guidance from the UK CAA regarding actions in the unlikely event of a “no-deal” may be read here.
VA Airline Training is currently adopting a ‘wait and see’ position as the UK Parliament debates the various options during which EASA training and licences/ratings are being issued as normal and are expected to continue as normal for the foreseeable future.
In accordance with issued guidance, VA Airline Training will, in any instance, apply to EASA for status as a ‘3rd country operator ATO’ which will result in EASA approving all VA Airline Training courses as EASA compliant as is currently the case under the UK CAA.
VA Airline Training is therefore confident there will be no issues for trainees from the EU who wish to attend our courses in the UK in the future. EASA APS MCC certificates already issued by us under the UK CAA will remain fully EASA compliant and will fully satisfy EASA pre-type rating entry requirements for airline employment.
